An impossible name to pronounce in the sprawling English language. But not as impossible as the meta-crisis our species is facing, so why complain? I am a designer / writer / director / human / facilitator interested in what makes us shift perspectives / worldviews / emotionally / futures. Driven by ideas and questions of impact rather than specialised technique, my work spans from humours satire to dense poetry, from immersive experiences to traditional printmaking. Themes of worry / care / critique / discovery trickles between documentation and films, nestling tight to my heart and history.
Attempting to be understood, this website seek to serve as a platform to connect with you, dear viewer / guest? / friend? / collaborator? through a selection of things I have done.

WHAT: Mechanical installation using arduino
WHY: Empathy is a strong emtion

What initiates an empathic response in a viewer towards to a subject (object? / being?), and how can this feeling become a catalyst of changed relationships towards the subject? By using the well-known reference of the “Pixar-lamp” these questions were explode in a mechanical installation where the lonely lamp Humphrey is searching for his lightbulb, and finally become complete.
To the viewer it is painfully obvious how close he is to his goal, as well as how impossible it is for him to fulfil his wish on his own. Over the cause of the installation what is known by the audience slowly becomes clear to Humphrey as well, leading him to seek help.
I feel proud of being part of the team creating this project primarily because I think we really managed to capture Humphrey’s personality with a few simply movements, and because it taught me the joy and potential of working with evoking emotions.
