THYR BJÖRNSON
HUMAN

An impossible name to pronounce in the sprawling English language. But not as impossible as the meta-crisis our species is facing, so why complain? I am a designer / writer / director / human / facilitator interested in what makes us shift perspectives / worldviews / emotionally / futures. Driven by ideas and questions of impact rather than specialised technique, my work spans from humours satire to dense poetry, from immersive experiences to traditional printmaking. Themes of worry / care / critique / discovery trickles between documentation and films, nestling tight to my heart and history.

Attempting to be understood, this website seek to serve as a platform to connect with you, dear viewer / guest? / friend? / collaborator? through a selection of things I have done.
My hope is that you feel surprised, happy, intrigued, and/or down to connect.

VOICES ABOUT ME
MATTERS OF THE HEART

WHEN: 2023
WHAT: Video and AI installation
WHY: Data and art should communicate

What hidden knowledge resides within organisations and companies? How can it be brought forward to give the organisational leadership a more profound, wider and informed starting point when making decisions?

Matters of the Heart is a method for collection, mapping and visualization of intangible data, which combines AI analysis, expert insights, and art to create a starting point for continued transformational work. Developed together with an AI company specialised in anonymously analysing answers from open questions MotH allows organisations to get insights into questions such as where employees see value creation/loss, possibility for innovation, the meaningfulness of their work, and structural problems within the organisation, the list goes on.

A first prototype of MotH was exhibited during the Heartbeat conference in Copenhagen April, 2023 as a collaboration with tomorrow_will_be_here_ANON where attendees of the conference were asked to: “Re-imagine how the world functions and describe your hopes for a possible future”. These answers were then translated into an ever-changing video artwork projected in the space.
