THYR BJÖRNSONHUMAN
An impossible name to pronounce in the sprawling English language. But not as impossible as the meta-crisis our species is facing, so why complain? I am a designer / writer / director / human / facilitator interested in what makes us shift perspectives / worldviews / emotionally / futures. Driven by ideas and questions of impact rather than specialised technique, my work spans from humours satire to dense poetry, from immersive experiences to traditional printmaking. Themes of worry / care / critique / discovery trickles between documentation and films, nestling tight to my heart and history.
Attempting to be understood, this website seek to serve as a platform to connect with you, dear viewer / guest? / friend? / collaborator? through a selection of things I have done.
My hope is that you feel surprised, happy, intrigued, and/or down to connect.

SUSTAINABLE STRATEGY REPORT FOR MOMENTUM SPORTS AFRICA
WHEN: 2024
WHAT: Sustainabilty report
WHY: Sports has potential to power change
WITH: Janina Hihnala, Anastasia Lodhi, Paulina Hentschel
This strategic plan and report were developed by a interdiciplinary team of students for the client company Momentum Sports Africa, MSA. The report provides the client with an assessment of sustainability-related impact areas, identification of opportunities and risks, and proposals for innovative solutions to address these challenges and opportunities. This process led the team to the conclusion there is a strong opportunity for MSA to re-position itself as a social enterprise, rather than a traditional for-profit, corporate sports agency as they are today. As a team we were pleased to receive praise from the client after presenting this bold recommendation.
I took on the roles of Tools and Methods Lead and Team Dynamics Lead, both which included researching and delivering relevant materials and experience-based learning sessions, either directed at the client facing process or our internal one. For instance, I facilitated workshops aimed to align the team towards the project, and created a series of collaborative workshops untangling MSA’s stakeholder map together with a client representative.
